Email forwarding with FatCow

Introduction

To update your MX records with this Domain Name System (DNS) provider, first understand MX records.

Steps

  1. Log in to your account at https://fatcow.com/ by entering your domain or username and password under Control Panel.
  2. Go to your DNS records (From the control panel, under Domain Tools, click DomainCentral. Click the domain name you want to set up with @Emailforward. Under your domain name, click the DNS option. If you don’t see this option, contact FatCow support to request that they add it. Finally, from the Modify list, select MX Record.)
  3. First, delete the current MX records that send mail to your old email provider. After that you'll add new MX records for @Emailforward.mx.
  4. To direct your email to your @Emailforward.mx account, you have to add new MX records to your domain. These are the records that you need to add: mx1.emailforwardmx.com with Priority 10 and mx2.emailforwardmx.com. with Priority 20
  5. Click save.
